Plans and storage
Selects — uploading event photos, AI culling and grouping, client selection links and guest face search — come with a monthly or yearly plan: a number of photos your studio can store at one time, a number of logins and how long photos are kept. Album design needs no plan; it is paid per spread with spread credits. This page covers the plans, the free trial, what happens when a plan is full or ends, how long photos are kept, closing an event, and legal holds.
The plans
Every paid plan also includes Same-day edits (beta): highlights uploaded from your phone, edited in your grade and sent to your customer the same evening. They are not part of the free trial.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly (one payment) | Photos stored | Logins | Photos kept |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | ₹1,999 a month | ₹20,000 a year | 30,000 | 2 | 180 days |
| Studio | ₹3,499 a month | ₹35,000 a year | 100,000 | 5 | 180 days |
| Pro | ₹6,999 a month | ₹63,000 a year | 250,000 | Unlimited | 365 days |
- Photos stored counts the photos your studio holds at one time, across every select and event. Deleting or closing an event frees its space at once.
- Photos uploaded in the album designer do not count, and album design works without a plan.
- A login is one active account in your studio — the studio admin and each team member. A switched-off account does not count.
- Plans are for studios: the studio admin and the team share one plan. Freelance designers — who make marketplace looks, vectors and layouts and design albums — need no plan and see no plan card.
Your plan in the studio
The plan card sits above the spread credits at the bottom of the sidebar on a computer, and at the top of the You tab on a phone. It shows the plan's name, the photos stored against the limit ("12,000 / 30,000 photos stored"), how long the plan is paid for, the logins in use and how long photos are kept. It turns amber at 80 % full or with a week left, and red when uploads are paused.
Plan & storage (in the sidebar on a computer, on the You tab on a phone) has everything in one place: your plan and when it renews or ends, photo storage and logins against the limits, the three plans to subscribe, upgrade or renew to, your autopay (to cancel it, open Manage autopay and type I understand: the warning says when you lose the plan), and the plan history. Team members can read it; only the studio admin pays.
When something needs doing, Pixamatch shows a plan sheet as you open the studio: when you have no plan, during a trial without autopay (every three days, then daily in its last three days), when storage is 80 % full, when a paid plan without autopay ends within a week, and when it has ended. Not now hides it for a while. It also opens when an upload does not fit your plan. A studio paying by autopay with room to spare never sees it.
A studio admin's card has Start free trial, Upgrade, Renew or Choose a plan when something needs doing; it opens the checkout page, where you pay online with Cashfree. The page has two tabs: Monthly bills through a UPI/card mandate (auto-renews until you stop it), and Yearly is a one-time payment of the year's price — 12 months from the charge, nothing to cancel. Renewing early always adds a full period on top of your paid date; moving to a bigger plan switches at once. Your monthly mandates are listed there too; you cancel autopay on Plan & storage (paid time runs on, then the plan ends). If online payment isn't available, the page offers WhatsApp with Pixamatch (+91 79944 99974) instead. Cancelling and refunds are explained in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Team members see "Ask your studio admin about the plan".
The Team page shows "n of m logins on your plan in use". When every login is in use, Create account is greyed out: switch someone off, or move to a bigger plan.
The free trial
The 7-day free trial starts when you set up autopay (UPI, card or eNACH) for a plan on the Monthly tab — Start 7-day free trial. Nothing is charged today; during the 7 days you get that plan's full storage and logins, and autopay pays the first month the day after the trial ends. Cancel autopay before then and nothing is charged — cancelling ends the trial at once. A studio gets the trial once, and never after it has paid for a plan. Picking another plan during the trial moves the trial to that plan; the end date stays. Trials that started before autopay was needed run to their end date.
Without a plan or a trial, uploads to selects stop with "Start your 7-day free trial or choose a plan to upload photos." and the plan sheet opens. Nothing else changes: your photos, client links and albums stay, and your photos are kept for the ordinary retention period below.
When a plan is full
An upload that does not fit is refused as a whole before anything is sent, so a drop never half-lands. The upload panel shows the reason, for example "This upload does not fit: your plan holds 30,000 photos and has room for 500 more." with a Choose a plan → link to the checkout, or "Your plan is full (30,000 photos)." Deleting or closing a delivered event also frees space.
When a plan ends
A plan runs until the date it is paid until. If it is not renewed:
- The day after it ends: uploads stop ("Your plan has run out. Renew it to upload more photos — your photos and client links are safe for now."). Client links keep working.
- 15 days after it ends: your clients' selection links, face search and album pages stop, and show "This link is paused". You still see everything in the studio.
- 45 days after it ends: the photos, face data, client links, picks and albums made from them are deleted.
You are warned in the studio and by email a week before and 3 days before the end, on the day it ends, 3 days before links stop, when they stop, and 7 days and 1 day before the photos are deleted. Renewing at any point before the deletion puts everything back at once.
How long photos are kept
Photos are kept for your plan's retention period — 180 days, or 365 days on Pro — to support culling, customer selection, album production, corrections and delivery. The period starts with the first upload to an event (for events made before plans started, it starts on the day plans started). When it ends, the event's photos, face data, client links, picks and the albums made from them are deleted, unless continued retention is lawfully required.
You are warned 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before, in the studio and by email, with the albums that will go. Export any album you need before the date. An event is never deleted less than 6 days after its 7-day warning, whatever the date says.
While deleting old photos is switched on, the select page shows "Photos kept until …" under its status.
Photos uploaded only in the album designer are not deleted automatically.
Closing an event
When an event is delivered, you can free its space straight away: open the select's ⋯ menu (on its card, or on the select page) → Close event…, type the select's name and press Close event. Its photos, client links, picks and albums are deleted now; the select stays in your list marked Closed, as a record. Closing cannot be undone, so download or export anything you still need first.
Legal holds
When photos must be kept — for example a dispute or a legal request — Pixamatch can put a legal hold on a studio or on one event. While it is on, nothing deletes those photos: not the retention period, not an ended plan, and not the studio itself. Deleting or closing a held event answers "These photos are under a legal hold and can't be deleted. Contact Pixamatch." The select page shows "On legal hold".
Still stuck? In the studio, ask Pixie, the help chat (Ask Pixie in the sidebar on a computer, the Pixie tab on a phone). Pixamatch answers every message.
